2015 SUMMER EVENTS

We had a historical marker made by Outpatient Graphics in Edgerton to tell about the Sheepskin School. At the July Pie and Ice Cream Social we dedicated the marker.   A former teacher and former Historical Society Secretary was able to come for the dedication.   Family members attended from as far away as  TX and IL including children of her sister who was also a teacher at the school and our Society Treasurer for 27 years.

We received several donations during the Pie Social including a bell thought to have been in the Albion Graded School.   The date is unknown, but the School was consolidated into the Edgerton School district in 1975 .   The bell was in the Bliven family before that.

On August 8 we held a Chicken Bar B Q during the Albion Park Arts & Craft Sale.  The Renegades 4-H Club had sold snacks in 2014, so this was a joint effort.   A few of the kids were able to help in spite of the fact that most of the club was at the WI State Fair in Milwaukee performing in a drama project.   Way to go, Renegades!

The Bar B Q was work but enough fun that all the volunteers WANT to do it again next August!   THANK YOU EVERYONE!
